The Paolo De Lorenzi Winery has been striving to achieve environmental sustainability since it was founded in 1970.
IN OUR VINEYARDS...
Steel was our privileged choice of material for our installations as it ensures a low environmental impact and it is more pleasant to the eye. We use reusable steel hooks to bind the vines, therefore avoiding the use of plastic. We plough the soil around our vines and do not use chemicals to kill the grass. Grassing the vineyard rows encourages rich plant life and presence of wildlife, including hare and pheasant for example.
BIO-ENOLOGY
Bio-enology is the study of biological processes with the objective of exploiting natural raw materials in the best way possible, avoiding the use of chemical additives. Our winery uses bio-enology in the production and processing of our wines. We use only natural ingredients to improve our products, making them more genuine/natural and long-lasting.
WATER RESOURCES
The natural landscape of our land makes it particularly suitable for vineyards. Irrigation is not a necessity. We have furnished our vineyards with a modern water depuration plant and we do not use chemical additives. The purified water is re-used in the vineyards.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
We want to make a concrete contribution towards saving energy and we have furnished our winery with a 20 KW PV system. It meets all our energy needs while respecting the environment and nature surrounding us. We monitor our energy output and CO2 non-emission in real time. We are proud to say that our entire production process is oriented towards a very low environmental impact and a never-ending research in quality improvement.
WINE EXCELLENCE = ENVIRONMENT QUALITY = BETTER LIFE !!!
